A small selection of topics

Sustainable business models
Long-term success through smart business concepts

Tomorrow’s business models are geared to the purpose and contribution to the overall system, i.e. to society and the environment. This in no way means sacrificing profitability. On the contrary: sustainable business models are more stable and resilient. In this course, with many practical examples, you will learn how to successfully implement this new way of entrepreneurship.

Circular Economy
Nature knows no waste

Over many decades, we have become accustomed to the principle of “take – make – waste” and have thus brought incredible mountains of waste to this planet. Plastic litter in the oceans is only one of the problems. Take nature for example, where the waste of one is the raw material of the next. And the best part: it also makes economic sense in business terms. With new and interconnected thinking we can become circular and sustainable.

Sustainable supply chains
The responsibility for sustainability doesn't end at the factory gate

It can often be observed that sustainability is practiced in-house, e.g. through recycling, green electricity and social projects. Especially in branched, international supply chains, however, it becomes complex and intransparent. In this course, participants learn to view the entire supply chain from a sustainability perspective and to optimize it in a targeted manner.

Climate change in leadership
New leadership skills for healthy, sustainable companies

Sustainable companies that are oriented towards the overall system must be flexible, adaptable and agile. This means a radical departure from rigid, pyramid-shaped organizational models and decision-making structures. The manager of tomorrow is a service provider for independent and autonomous teams. In this online course, managers gain a new perspective – and a desire for new leadership.

Successfully anchoring sustainability in-house
Inspire employees and managers

Most people are concerned about sustainability in their private lives, but have “learned” that in business it is all about reducing costs and customer satisfaction. We take it positively: the motivation is there, we have to awaken it. Via internal communication and via effective education on the subject.

Transformation towards sustainability
Shaping change successfully

To reposition the company in a stable, sustainable and thus future-proof manner requires a clear and strong vision of the future as well as good perseverance. Sustainability is a mindset, a new culture. Accordingly, a lot of attention and change management skills are required. It is worth it!

Evolution management
learn from nature

Companies are part of society and society is part of nature. In the meantime, we humans and especially those responsible in companies have moved so far away from our natural environment that we have the illusion of being able to act independently from it, like in a bubble. That works just fine for a while. However, it seems that we are at a significant turning point in time and are returning to our role in the system of life. Here we examine the exciting processes of struggle and cooperation, of trial and error in the development of life, of swarm intelligence and many other facets of natural, evolutionary processes and apply them to the management of companies. The great benefit is the realization that we can lead in a far more economical and harmonious way and still remain successful. And we eliminate some firmly established beliefs of management!

The manager of tomorrow
The first 100 days

How do the leaders of tomorrow learn leadership? Mostly by copying and pasting the leadership behavior of their own bosses. The relevant management literature and the content of business administration courses also manifest leadership behavior that is rooted in the last century and simply no longer meets today’s challenges. Here we deal with the findings of neuroscience on leadership and motivation of people as well as the still new consideration of System Value, i.e. the inclusion of society and the environment and the ethical basis of our responsibility in our own decisions. The task of tomorrow’s managers is more complex, because they have to use their brain, heart and backbone to “move other people to succeed”. On the other hand, the job is also becoming “easier” if it is not carried out against but in harmony with human nature and the wonderful web of life.

Key competence EQ
More success with Emotional Intelligence

Google has identified EQ, i.e. Emotional Intelligence, as one of the six key competencies of its management personnel. In fact, authoritarian bosses without empathy are clearly on the retreat. However, those who want to win in the “battle for the best minds” are investing specifically in the development of the emotional competence of managers. On the basis of a scientifically based measurement of inter- and intrapersonal competence, the basic elements of the EQ are systematically developed and trained in the truest sense. The participants can apply these “techniques” directly in their everyday life and thus improve their leadership immediately.

Workshops

Nature is complex. It has a multitude of systems that are unpredictable in their behaviour and do not seem to be governed by the established deterministic laws of classical physics. Chaos theory explains the diversity we observe in nature and also in economic systems.

Complex are the challenges of the VUCA world. And so is the transformation to greater sustainability. The additional dynamics of the subject means that in many respects it is an iterative process of straying forward before moving on to the level of concrete action.

To ensure that this process is both effective and goal-oriented, we support with collaborative, co-creative workshops and contribute our expertise and moderation skills. Whether individual companies, industry representatives or regional associations – the workshops help to make the transformation a success.

We also moderate these workshops in intensive and engaging live online sessions with a ” like-presence” atmosphere. Not only during Corona times.

With an individual starting point, a clear concept and professional tools

Ist Situation
Status quo
  • - The stakeholder survey provides insights into the internal and external perspective
  • - Clear priorities with the materiality matrix
  • - The sustainability check is based on the 17 SDGs and provides transparency and the basis for the measures
Weg kurz
Short term

An important first step is the implementation of quick wins. This increases motivation and is often associated with immediate cost savings (e.g. in the energy sector or in recycling).

Weg mittel
Mid term

The mostly qualitative statements of the sustainability check are transferred into measurable values and used to derive non-financial KPIs. They are then implemented in projects and programs. Controlling by reporting and re-check.

Weg lang
Long term

The greatest and actually most sustainable impact is achieved by integrating sustainability into the mission statement and corporate strategy. This goes hand in hand with the development of the organization and the corporate as well as the leadership culture.
